  • I LIVE.

Also, I'm starting a new job this Friday, I'll probably have the Internet at my actual place of residence where I live and reside in my home in the upcoming week or so. Finally, I won't have to use the "only half an hour, please" computers at the library and the "you can only sneak in at night" computer in the community office, which I'm using right now. That's why it's friggin' 2 am.

But ah, unfortunately I think I'm going to retire this blog... and get a brand new LIVEJOURNAL! Yeah w00t w00t holla holla who let the dogs out arf arf.

Ahem... sorry. But I think I'ma gonna. Livejournals get read more often, and when people read your stuff, you're more likely to post on a regular basis. I mean, it's pointless to have a blog that nobody reads. If I want to talk to myself, I don't have to use Internet Explorer (or if you're a Mac user... "name of whatever the fuck your program is") to do it. I'd rather be part of the LJ community. Yeah, I sort of admire the LijCom, despite the overuse of quizzes. I digress.

In summation, I'm alive, employed, and about to about to be all wired up. Oi oi oi.

  • They Might Be Giants hupdate!

I bought their new album "The Spine" on Saturday, and I can't stop listening to it! It's so much better than "Mink Car," their last album. I think I'm going to get its companion album, "The Spine Surfs Alone" because it was so good. SOOO GOOD! Speaking of Teen Girl Squad, which is indirectly speaking of Homestar Runner...

Experimental Film  The good folks at Homestar Runner took the first song off the album and made a music video for it. Good stuff. (Hidden super secret: Watch it once, then click on "Directed by Strong Sad & the Cheat" at the beginning for a DVD commentary by the whole Homestar crew. Strong Sad calls them "Super-Giants." Funny!) Flash required.

TMBG/Homestar puppet jams  Click on "Puppet Stuff" and you can see a Homestar puppet improvise some songs with the Giants in the background. Pretty surreal, actually.

Strong Bad's email about having a different town  Lyrics by TMBG. Had enough Homestar, people? Hokay.

Official site  Free mp3s! Watch videos! Hear music, of course.

Dial-a-song  An online offshoot of their free song service at 718-387-6962. Shoot the target, songs come out. Call the number, songs come out. On your cellie.

The Edison Museum  Off their children's album. A Flash video about Thomas Edison's museum in Jersey. Mouse over the windows and learn Edison facts! Hosted by my old crappy website.

Now let's go see if I can sleep for an hour before sunrise. Night night!
